I have been playing with wordles at www.wordle.net and found the tool thoroughly enjoyable. From the welcome page there is a nice neat presentation of what I needed to do to engage the tool. After entering in a list of words I then was taken to a wordle representation of that list. With tools such as changing the range of colours, font & word orientation to name a few it became clear to me how useful this tool can be. Utilising the form of a wordle I was able to create a fun and easy to way of expressing information that will be easy to remember.
I can see this being useful for not only me but for my future learners as well. If I can engage them in a fun way and make it easy to remember then my learners will benefit from this tool all the more efficiently. I will definitely use this in future lessons, as well as part of my own study tool repertoire. I have made up my own wordle based around ICT and education and posted it below. It will be interesting to see how I view this topic next week, next month and at the end of this semester to see what words are missing from this wordle.
Tyler, I also found Wordle's fun.. I have scene them, and wondered what they where called, and how they are created. Now that I have created some myself, I find them fun, and they definitely pull your learner into to the moodle and get them thinking. :)
